Worn Wear Trade-In

How does Worn Wear trade-in work for Patagonia Bend?

Bring your used Patagonia gear into our Downtown Bend store. If it functions perfectly and is in good condition, we'll give you Merchandise Credit toward your next Patagonia purchase — usable in-store, on patagonia.com, or at wornwear.patagonia.com.

What products do you accept?

We accept Patagonia technical and sportswear in Men's, Women's, Kids', and Baby, plus Patagonia luggage. Some categories aren't eligible — see the full list below, or call the store if you're unsure about a specific piece.

What happens to the products you trade in?

Traded-in gear goes to Patagonia's Distribution Center in Reno, Nevada, where it's cleaned using a water- and energy-saving CO2 process. From there, it's listed on wornwear.patagonia.com — keeping the gear in use and out of the landfill.

What are my items' estimated trade-in values?

These tiers give you a rough sense of what your gear might be worth. Final credit is determined when we inspect each item in-store.

How long until I get my credit?

Processing usually takes 15 to 20 minutes, depending on how busy we are. Take a lap around the shop or try something on while you wait.

Where can I use my Worn Wear credit?

Your Worn Wear credit works at Patagonia Bend, on patagonia.com, and at any Patagonia retail store. It cannot be used on patagoniabend.com.

What condition does gear need to be in?

We accept Patagonia gear that's clean, fully functional, and in good condition.

What's the difference between trade-in and repair drop-off?

Trade-in is for gear that still works and is in good shape — you get Merchandise Credit in exchange, and the piece goes on to a second owner. Repair drop-off is for gear that needs fixing. We send those pieces to Patagonia's Reno repair facility, and they come back to you once mended. For simple in-store repairs — patches, zipper sliders, snaps, and buttons — we'll handle those on-site, free.

Can I trade in Patagonia gear I bought somewhere else?

Yes. As long as the material/care tag is still attached with the style number, color code, and season, we'll accept it for trade-in — regardless of where you originally bought it.

What categories of Patagonia gear do you accept for trade-in?

We accept Patagonia gear that functions perfectly and is in good condition, including:

  • Men's, Women's, Kids', and Baby garments
  • Jackets, fleece, vests, and most outerwear
  • Packs and luggage
  • Sportswear tops
  • Bottoms (pants, joggers, etc.)

We can't accept: accessories (hats, scarves, gloves, socks), activewear (leggings, tank tops), baselayers, bras, items with corporate logos, factory seconds, shoes, ski patrol jackets and vests, sleeping bags, swimwear (boardshorts are okay), t-shirts, underwear, waders, wading boots, and wetsuits.

Is there a minimum trade-in value?

The minimum trade-in value is $10 per item.

What if my item isn't accepted — do I get it back?

We can only process Worn Wear in person, so if a piece isn't accepted, we'll hand it back. If it's beyond use and you'd rather not take it home, we have a Common Threads recycling bin where it can start a new life.
