Why Shop With Patagonia Bend?

Inside Patagonia Bend — locally owned Patagonia partner store in Downtown Bend, Oregon

Patagonia Bend is a locally owned partner store in Downtown Bend, Oregon. We're not a corporate flagship, we're a small business run by people who ski, climb, and run on the same Central Oregon trails our customers do. The gear we sell is world-class. The service is rooted right here in our community.

Quick navigation

Why should I buy from Patagonia Bend instead of Patagonia.com?

When you shop with us, you're supporting a locally owned business — not a corporate retailer. We carry the same Patagonia gear at the same prices, but the dollars stay closer to home: funding our local team, supporting Central Oregon nonprofits, and keeping the doors open on a small business that's been part of this community since 2003.

Do I pay sales tax shopping at Patagonia Bend?

For most customers, no. Because we're an independent, single-location business based in Oregon — a state with no sales tax — we don't have a tax nexus in other states. That means most U.S. customers save 7–10% compared to buying the same gear from national retailers. The price you see is the price you pay.

Are your prices the same as Patagonia.com?

Yes. We carry Patagonia gear at the same MSRP you'd find on patagonia.com.

Do you carry the same products as Patagonia.com?

We carry a curated selection of Patagonia's current season — chosen specifically for Central Oregon. Gear for the Three Sisters Wilderness, ski days at Mt. Bachelor, climbing at Smith Rock, and après in the food truck pods. If we don't have something in stock, we can usually order it for you.

Can I pick up my online order in-store?

Yes. Anything you purchase on patagoniabend.com can be picked up in-store free of charge, no shipping fees, and it's usually ready the same day. Just select in-store pickup at checkout.

How fast is your shipping?

We ship every order from our Bend storefront, not a distribution center. Most orders go out within 24 hours. If you have a question about your order, you're not calling a hotline — you're calling the shop, and we'll pick up.

Do you offer trade-in and repair services?

Yes. We accept used Patagonia gear through the Worn Wear program and give you Merchandise Credit in return. For repairs, we handle simple fixes (patches, zippers, snaps, buttons) in-store for free, and send more complex repairs to Patagonia's facility in Reno on your behalf.

Can someone help me choose the right gear?

That's what we're here for. Our team uses this gear in the conditions you'd actually use it — backcountry skiing on Bachelor, climbing at Smith, hiking the Sisters. Stop by, give us a call, or send us a message. We'll point you toward the layers, packs, or technical pieces that actually fit how you spend your time outside.

Can I earn rewards shopping at Patagonia Bend?

Earn online or in-store
Every dollar you spend (online or at our Bend location) accumulates points toward your next reward.

The reward
For every $250 you spend, you earn a $25 reward.

Redeem in-store
To keep our local community vibrant, rewards can only be redeemed in person at our Downtown Bend shop. It's the perfect excuse to swing by, say hi, and gear up for your next adventure.

Use it or lose it
Rewards are valid for 60 days from the date of issue. Rewards are issued when you pass the threshold.

Are you involved in the Central Oregon community?

What is Third Thursday at Patagonia Bend?

On the third Thursday of every month, we bring one of our nonprofit partners into the store, give them the floor, and donate 10% of the day's sales to their work. It's a chance to meet the people protecting this place, learn what they're working on, and have your purchase do double duty — gear for you, fuel for the cause.
